Brief Description : The successful applicant will be required to assist in the welding, machining, fabrication and assembly of mechanical and electronic components. No experience is necessary as all relevant training will be given. PPE is supplied by the company.

 

Qualifications Required : GCSE’s in Maths and English at Grade D or above
Equivalent qualifications will be considered
Vacancy Detail : Main duties include:-
• Preparing & cleaning metal for assembly and welding.
• Accurately sawing metal and plastic pipes / rods.
• Using a Bending machine to form aluminium tubes.
• TIG Welding of aluminium and stainless steel.
• Keeping stock records for welding equipment and consumables
• Maintaining welding equipment and monitoring gas bottle levels.
• Ensuring the workstation is kept clean and tidy.
Positions Available : 1
Working Week : Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm (Monday College day)
Salary : £117.00 Per Week

Other Information : Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.90 per hour. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship.

For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
