Brief Description : Due to business expansion we are now seeking an apprentice finance administrator to assist and be part of  our small but busy team.  


Qualifications Required : You will need a minimum of three GCSEs at grades A*-C or 9-4, including English and maths, or equivalent.
Vacancy Detail : Role overview  Although this role is a routine finance administrator’s role, the nature and structure of the organisation  results in providing the candidate with a very varied involvement within the organisation, which would suit  a confident person who is looking for practical knowledge to support their studies. 
The role is involved in the following businesses:  2 Arable farming business partnerships (including contract farming businesses).  A poultry farm.  A commercial shooting enterprise.  A growing renewable energy business.  A growing events business.  A matrix of property letting businesses (domestic & commercial).  1 limited company, focusing on property letting and development.  6 Trusts.  3 Charity organisations.    Further involvement with: ‐  On‐going building projects (invoice and project analysis). 

Providing bookkeeping support to external rural businesses.  Ad‐hoc events held at Courteenhall. 
General tasks would include:  - Invoice coding and authorisation via a document management system (Docuware)  Assisting with management of Docuware.  Filing and archiving.  Matching GRN’s and receipts to invoices and expenditure statements.  Maintaining the purchase and sales ledgers in the accounts system.  Supplier statement reconciliations.  Inputting bank payments and receipts to the accounts system.  Issuing tenants invoices.  Assisting with weekly bank payments.  Data input to the farm stock data‐base.  Inter‐organisational recharging and reconciliations.  Data input of energy recharge invoices.  Data input of prepared journals.  Credit card transaction input and reconciliations.  Analysis of timesheets.  Analysing various invoices/expenditure by excel spreadsheet.  Dealing with supplier and customer account queries.      Additional duties would include:‐  Ad‐hoc administration duties to assist the team at Courteenhall.  Ad‐hoc finance administration duties to assist the finance manager and finance assistant.

Working Week : Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (some flexibility to hours may be available)
Salary : £146.25 Per Week

Personal Qualities : The ideal candidate would be able to interact with many different personalities in a very 
diverse environment, whilst demonstrating a professional and friendly attitude.  No previous finance experience is required.  Must be IT literate and have a good understanding of excel and outlook.  Level 4+ in Maths and English is preferred.  Full training would be provided along with study support for a candidate who is considering 
either  level 2 or 3 AAT.

Weekly college attendance will be required at the Tresham Corby Campus
Monthly onsite work based assessment carried out by a Tresham assessor
Other Information : With effect from April 1st 2019 the National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £3.90 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old, Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
