Brief Description : Five Star Mortgages Ltd are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Business Administration Apprentice to work within their financial sector to join a growing and exciting team to help our clients achieve their goals.

 

Qualifications Required : You will need four GCSEs at grades A*-C or 9-4, or equivalent.

- Welcoming clients to the office and providing refreshments
- Copying, scanning and shredding documents.
- Data entry to assist mortgage and financial advisers.
- Calling mortgage lenders and insurance companies to get updates and progress new applications.
- Updating clients while applications are in progress.
- Keeping the office tidy.
- General office duties as required.

Salary : £173.00 Per Week

Personal Qualities : You must be comfortable talking to people. Training will be provided to build on this attribute.
Skills Required : The ideal candidate will be punctual and organised.

Polish / Romanian speaking person is desirable (but not essential)
Future Prospects : Possibility of progression or a full time position may be offered on successful completion of your apprenticeship. This could be used as a stepping stone into a long term career to financial services.
Training to be Provided : Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship plus Level 2 Fuctional Skills in maths and English (if required) and Level 2 Functional Skills in ICT. You will also study a range of topics including: IT, Record and document production, Decision making, Planning and organisation, Project management, Policies, Relevant regulations, Stakeholders, Processes and external environment factors.
Other Information : Candidates must attend an initial interview with a member of the Bedford College Apprenticeship Recruitment Team and complete an online maths and English test which will be sent out prior to your initial interview if you meet the entry criteria. Please note this is part of the recruitment process and must be completed in order for your application to be progressed to the next stage.

With effect from April 1st 2019 the National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £3.90 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship.

For all other Apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
