Brief Description : Working alongside our experienced engineering teams within our factories, apprentices will deliver specialised mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs.
Qualifications Required : Applicants must be passionate and enthusiastic about engineering. Applicants must have a minimum 5 GCSEs at 4/5 (C) or above or equivalent including English, Math’s, and Physics.
Vacancy Detail : During the programme we will provide experience working across several of our iconic brands with rotations through a number of our Burton Latimer and Corby-based factories.
In particular the apprentice will learn about:
• Pressurised vessels used for cooking
• Many different types of product conveyor systems
• In line baking, automatic weighing systems
• Vertical baggers
• Automation wrapping systems
• Product carton systems, case packers and palletisers
All aspects of mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic and electrical/electronic systems maintenance will be taught on-the-job, which runs alongside attendance at college on a part-time basis for at least two-years.

Working Week : Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
Salary : £240.00 Per Week

Other Information : With effect from April 1st 2018 the National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £3.70 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship.
For all other Apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
