Brief Description : We are looking for an apprentice who will become an all-round highly skilled individual in welding and fabrication and machining. willing to learn, not be worried about getting stuck in. A mature individual with a genuine enthusiasm for engineering.
Qualifications Required : GCSE’s in English and IT at Grade D or above, Grade C in maths.
Equivalent qualifications will be considered
Vacancy Detail : Duties will include:
• Tig and Mig welding,
• Laser, Punching, Brake Pressing, Metal Polishing, Powder Coating, CNC punching
• Assembling, reading drawing, Fitting new parts, Programming, CAD design
• Quality inspection,
• Keeping production manager informed of your progress

Ideal candidate would need to demonstrate basic practical skills and have a logical approach to problem solving, be a team player In an environment where versatility is extremely important, learning and understanding a wide range of engineering skills and processes while under the instruction of skilled technical staff. Be able to demonstrate these skills and processes as the training period progresses by working independently or with a team, to undertake tasks as instructed and making an increasing contribution to the business.

Working Week : 7.30 to 4.30 Monday to Thursday 7.30 to 12.30 Friday
Salary : £195.00 Per Week

Training to be Provided : EAL Level 2 NVQ in Performing Engineering Operations
EAL Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Technology

Employment Rights and Responsibilities
Assessments will be carried out within the workplace on a monthly basis and the Tresham college Corby Campus will need to be attended once per week for training and functional skills.
Other Information : With effect from April 1st 2019 the National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £3.90 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship.
For all other Apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
